Presentation abstract: This session will include two separate presentations on how Oracle Cloud (SaaS Applications) can help deliver strategic and cultural change across two large higher education institutions, together with a short contribution from an SI perspective. As real world case-studies, the presentations will cover the progress being made and discuss some of the challenges and lessons learned to date.

The University of Birmingham has launched a 3-year transformational change programme using Oracle Cloud applications, as part of an overall Hybrid Cloud solution. Together with their Oracle partner – Version 1 – they will review how Oracle Cloud can help deliver cultural change.

Birmingham City University’s mission is to transform the prospects of individuals, organisations and society through excellence in practice-based education. To support the delivery of this vision, the University wants to transform how it delivers key services to staff, students and suppliers. By selecting Oracle Cloud applications it can design and support modern customer focused services and at the same time, reduce its IT footprint and provide enhanced technical flexibility.
